KEYSTONE RETRIEVER CLUB

KRC Members:
As promised we will not be having our dec training down @ blue Marsh ,instead we will have a retriever problem solving session.

The session will run from 8:45 to 3pm. Do not arrive before 8am.
I will have KRC  signs marked from rt 895 & the driveway to margaret’s property.

The bldg will be heated & fully matted , & port-a pottie along the side of the bldg. Drive past the house to the pole bldg where parking will be available.
Please bring a chair & your lunch. All drills/demonstrations will be done on the property. You may air your dog behind the bldg , that will b marked. Please clean up after your dog & take the gift  with u. DO NOT leave poop bags on the property.

IMMEDIATELY  following the training session there will b a bd mtg, bd members should try to attend , at least enough for a quorum.
The suggested training  format will be addressing issues that interfere with handler & dog  completing the task, i.e.  line manners, deliver to hand , prong collars corrections ,vs. e collar vs. buckle collar with a tab. Some basic drills or demo for marks/blinds. Knowing when to correct as opposed  to looking @ the big picture.

Airing your dog b4 u run.
Barking dog on the line or coming to the line or leaving the line for the mark.

So with all that being said I need to know by FRIDAY DEC 16 5PM who’s coming & how many dogs u will be bringing.

This training session will b held rain  or shine , the only thing that  would probably cancel the session would be snow or sleet. I will let u know by sat 5pm  if things change. The club will provide coffee & pastries. My hope is to have a fast paced  question/ answer session indoors & then go outside for demos/drills. As u all know we could spend hrs on 1 issue , that I don’t want to happen! , which is why things like force fetch & running formal marks i.e. indented, converging marks, we just may not have enough time for.If u have questions u can text me (717-269-42 nine six) or email. Thank u
Joe Lescisko
